Families We Have Supported on Their Surrogacy Journey

These moments were shared with us by families the VinsFertility team has guided. Each of them took the lawful route: altruistic surrogacy, with the certificates the law requires, at a registered centre. Every journey is different, and no centre can promise a result.

Best Surrogacy Centres in India by City

Each city page lists only the centres registered in that city, with their registration numbers and certificates. We never fill a city page with centres from somewhere else.

How to choose

What Makes a Surrogacy Centre the Best Choice for You?

Surrogacy takes many months and involves medical, legal and emotional steps. These are the checks that matter most, in order.

Valid government registration

The centre's name, address and surrogacy registration number should match the National ART & Surrogacy Registry. Open the certificate and check it yourself.

An experienced medical team

Ask who will lead your treatment: the gynaecologist, the embryologist and the counsellor. Ask how many surrogacy cases they have handled under the current law.

Clear legal guidance

A good centre explains the medical indication, essentiality and eligibility certificates and the parentage order, and never suggests a shortcut around them.

Everything in writing

Ask for the treatment plan, what each stage includes, the consent forms and the surrogate's insurance cover in writing before you pay anything.

Care for the surrogate

The surrogate mother needs medical screening, counselling and care through pregnancy and after delivery. Ask how the centre supports her.

A practical location

You will visit for tests, embryo transfer and scans, and the certificates are issued by your state's authorities. A centre you can reach easily makes each step simpler.

Before you sign

How to Verify a Surrogacy Centre in 5 Steps

  1. Ask for the registration number

Every surrogacy clinic must be registered. A centre that cannot give you its number in writing is not one to choose.

  2. Match it with the registry

Search the number on this page or on the official registry. The name and address must match the centre you are visiting.

  3. Open the certificate

Use the "View govt certificate" link to see the certificate issued for that clinic.

  4. Check your eligibility early

Ask the centre to explain which certificates you need and in what order, before any treatment starts.

  5. Get every term in writing

Read the consent forms, the treatment plan and the surrogate's insurance details. Ask questions until you understand each one.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions About Surrogacy Centres in India

Which is the best surrogacy centre in India?

There is no official ranking, so no single centre is "the best" for everyone. The best surrogacy centre for you is one that is registered with the National ART & Surrogacy Registry, holds a valid certificate, has an experienced fertility team, and explains the legal process and costs in writing. This page lists all 762 registered surrogacy clinics in India so you can shortlist and verify centres yourself.

How do I check if a surrogacy clinic in India is registered?

Ask the clinic for its surrogacy clinic registration number, then search for it on the National ART & Surrogacy Registry or in the list on this page. Registration numbers follow a state pattern, for example DL/SC/2022/... for Delhi. Open the government certificate and check that the clinic name and address match.

Is there an official list of the top 10 surrogacy centres in India?

No. The Government of India publishes a list of registered surrogacy clinics, not a ranking. Treat any "top 10" list with care and check that every centre on it appears on the official registry. A ranking cannot replace your own check of registration, the medical team and the written terms.

Who is eligible for surrogacy in India?

Under the Surrogacy (Regulation) Act, 2021, a legally married Indian couple can opt for surrogacy when the woman is 23 to 50 years old and the man is 26 to 55, and a District Medical Board has certified a medical need. An Indian woman who is a widow or divorcee aged 35 to 45 is also eligible. Couples with a surviving child usually cannot opt for surrogacy, with limited exceptions.

Is commercial surrogacy legal in India?

No. India allows only altruistic surrogacy. The surrogate mother cannot be paid a fee. The intending couple covers her medical expenses and buys insurance cover for her for 36 months. A centre that offers a paid surrogate is breaking the law.

Can NRIs, OCI cardholders or foreigners do surrogacy in India?

Foreign nationals cannot opt for surrogacy in India. NRIs, OCI cardholders and people of Indian origin can, if they meet the same eligibility rules; some cases also need a recommendation from the National Board. Check your case with a registered centre and the official FAQs before you plan travel.

Which certificates are needed before surrogacy can start?

The couple needs a certificate of medical indication from the District Medical Board, and a certificate of essentiality and a certificate of eligibility from the State or UT Appropriate Authority. After the birth, a Magistrate passes the parentage and custody order. A registered centre should guide you through each step.

How many embryo transfer attempts are allowed on one surrogate?

The rules allow a surrogacy procedure to be attempted on a surrogate mother no more than three times. Ask each centre how it plans treatment within this limit.

Is guidance from this website free?

Yes. A call with the VinsFertility team to understand the process and shortlist registered centres is free. We never ask you to pay a surrogate, and we do not promise any result.
